What kind of piano/keyboard should you purchase for your child?
A small electronic keyboard with mini-keys is best for young children.
Why an electronic keyboard? Most young children tend to "bang" on acoustic piano keys. This is because little fingers do not yet have the strength to produce even/smooth tones on an acoustic piano. It is recommended that a Happy Piano student begin on an electronic keyboard that is not touch sensitive. This will be easier to play and the mini-sized keys provide a perfect fit for little fingers.
We recommend the Casio SA-75 or SA-76 as these are the piano/keyboards children play in Happy Piano Class.
Casio keyboards can be purchased at retail stores (such as Target and Toys R Us) It is advisable to call first to be certain it is in stock.
